The Shunned
Black magic, called old magic by its true masters the The Kozan Caprini, is at best frowned upon, or at worst outlawed in most of the world. Those that dabble do so in secret, those that commit to it's practice find hidden away dens, and those who cannot find a safe, secret place inevitably fall in with The Shunned.
The Shunned have scarcely a few ships, but find safe refuge in the ports of The Dominion and The Koza Isles. The few ships they have are well armed, but they are seldom known to open fire - they reserve their cannons for self-defense.

Nobody treats The Shunned with more respect than The Dominion - and their esoteric services are of great use to them.
The Shunned have no love for the Marauders, but it is hard not to accept the small fortune they are willing to offer for their services.
