Rashem

A Naset-born noble, Rashem was born to a powerful family within the The Citadel of Naset's walls. Trained from a young age to wield a blade, Rashem would go on to become a soldier within the Empire of Naset's elite military regiment known as the Sai Guard. Here his talent for battle would truly shine, winning battle after battle against the beasts of the Great Sai. Through grit and political determination, Rashem would rise rank after rank until he reached the highest position he could as captain of the Sai Guard. Answering to The Emperor of Naset himself, Rashem values loyalty and obedience above all else and seeks to crush those that oppose the Emperor under the sandstone boots of his conjurations.

Description

Appearance

Rashem is a tall and imposing figure who holds his head high and often intimidates those beneath it. His hair is a platinum blonde / ivory color and a bit of stubble streaks across his face. He wears the bright golden armor of the Sai Guard in addition to military-regimented purple cloak and silk. A lion's head is adorned across the left shoulderpad, leather pouches across his waist, and a crow's feet piercing with golden studs sits across the left side of his face. He often wields a gold-trimmed longsword and is flanked by multiple sand soldiers, with the ability to summon an entire legion of these constructs if needed.

Ideals

Responsibility. I do what I must and obey just authority (Lawful). Nation. My nation is all that matters (Any).

Bonds

My honor is my life.

Flaws

My hatred of my enemies is blind and unreasoning. I obey the law, even if the law causes misery. I'd rather eat my armor than admit when I'm wrong

Manifest Echos. As an bonus action Rashem can magically summon up to 8 Sand Soldiers in unoccupied spaces he can see within 15 feet of him. The Echoes have the same AC as him (AC 19), 1 hit point, and immunity to all conditions. If a Sand Soldier needs to make a saving throw, it uses Rashem's saving throw bonus for the roll. On Rashem's turn, he can mentally command the echoes to move up to 30 feet in any direction (no action required). Echoes provoke attacks of opportunity and can attack whenever Rashem takes the attack action.

Actions

Multiattack. Rashem makes 2 attacks with his longsword and 1 extra from each Sand Soldier active.   Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (1d10 + 7) slashing damage, plus an additional 9 (2d8) radiant damage if the attack is originating from Rashem and not a Sand Soldier.   Lay on Hands (Recharges once every Long rest). Rashem has a Lay on Hands pool of 30. As an action he can heal any number of hit points equal to points spent from his Lay on Hands pool.

Reactions

Sandstone Martyr. Rashem can use his reaction when him or a creature he can see is selected as the target for an attack and Rashem has at least 1 Sand Soldier active. The Sand Soldier teleports to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the target creature and is selected as the new target of the attack.
