Allied Nations

Structure

More details of the lower classes can be found within the Triaxite article, but as the Allied Nations are ruled chiefly by dragons, their section of the government's structure is detailed here.

Daramaekstrix often still prefer their solitude, spending most of their life within an artificial cave near their city, kitted out with technological gear resized for the gigantic size of a dragon and allowing them to observe and manipulate the economy, growth and much more. For dragons that require an individual to either attend to certain tasks in-person or provide a more personalised viewpoint many select a Rthizjur'festr Daramek'strks as their representative to the people.

Dragons that rule groups of cities have no city of their own, instead claiming dominance over a few Daramaekstrix and thereby their cities. They need no title as they rarely have contact with 'lesser beings' and the dragons that they do communicate with, know them by name and (more often) rank according the their points in xorvintaal. They are usually players of xorvintaal, competing against their peers and a rare few preferring to participate in the Great Game from elsewhere. They also form the highest level of government on Triaxus, and therefore participate in the Pact Council when the need arises.

Public Agenda

In the days before the Pact, the Allied Nations fought for the freedom of humanoid races such as the ryphorians against the tyrannical power of the dragons.

In modern times, however, the agenda of this alliance has shifted. Dragons rule over cities, with the most powerful commanding empires and play the ancient draconic game of xorvintaal with one another while simultaneously directing the cosmocracy along their own, draconic plans.

History

  1. For millennia, the fractious humanoid nations of the Allied Territories battled against the dragon-ruled nations of the Drakelands, particularly over the strategically crucial Skyfire Passage linking the warring continents.
  2. 1/1/0AG: Triaxus awakened after the Gap at the start of the change into winter.
  3. 2AG to 3AG: Dragonborn are created at the Skyfire Passage by the dragons. Also, the first Daramaekstrixes watched over them.
  4. 15/8/7AG: The Skyfire Mandate is founded.
  5. 41AG: With the coming of the Absalom Pact, the primarily evil dragons of the Drakelands saw the advantages of membership and trade with the other Pact Worlds, and active hostilities ceased. As a gesture of peace, they joined the Allied Nations and many ruled cities of their own within the Drakelands.
  6. 48AG: The Allied Nations merge with the Drakelands as part of their signing of the Absalom Pact.

Territories

In the early days before uniting with the dragons of the Drakelands, the Allied Nations occupied the 'eastern' continent known as the Allied Territories. In their enduring war against the Drakelands they regularly gained and lost ground over the Skyfire Passage.

In modern times, they claim all of Triaxus as theirs - although individual dragons constantly take and relenquish cities in subtle gameplay that most of the Triaxite citizenry know almost nothing about.

Military

Although Triaxus has not yet been threatened on a planetary scale, the formidable forces of dragons and their many vassals are certainly a terrifying threat.

More commonly, armies are pitted against other Triaxite armies by their respective Daramaekstrixes, usually as a maneuver within the Great Game.

Religion

/*Although the Daramaekstrix and their overlords are often displeased as to the worship of deities (as it brings in another source of influence for them to compete with), it was one of the terms of the Absalom Pact that the citizenry would be free to worship as they chose. However, this does not mean they are completely unable to influence the people and so*/

Foreign Relations

The reason for this alliance's creation was to provide a united military front against the evil dragons of the Drakelands. Once the Absalom Pact was signed by the most powerful dragons, they joined the Allied Territories and so the war ended.

The new goal of the Allied Nations then became one of establishing themselves across the Drakelands. Several cities and outposts were established, some occupied by metallic dragons hoping to reclaim the lands for good, and chromatic dragons opening their lair to humanoids in the hopes of advancing themselves in power. Only a few dragons left to maintain a solitary life, scattered across Triaxus.
