Revon
The Fate Smith
Revon was once a trusted advisor of House Rahaleos and well respected by Vidor Rahaleos. During a stay at Barkamsted to experience the Lake Celebrations for the first time, Vidor stumbled across a makeshift market stall selling handmade headdresses / crowns. He was highly impressed to see a young Revon running the stall in an attempt to make enough gold to take care of his sick sister Dianna Lakehurst, who had contracted Beritocis whilst travelling to Beachmarsh. After brief conversation Vidor saw great potential in Revon and offered to take him and his sister to live in Mirefield, Vidor promised that once in his residence, he could easily treat Dianna. Sadly she died during the travel to the city. His sisters death caused Revon to experience high levels of depression, stress and accelerated ageing for a period of time.
Years later, Revon had excelled living with the members of House Rahaleos, he showed superior intelligence, high adaptability and exceptional predicational skills. At this time Vidor and Revon had build a father/son type of relationship and although the soon to be lord of Mirefield was astonished by the teenage boys development he had noticed hints of equally negative qualities. Manipulative, morbid and a lack of empathy.
Vidor gained large power after the Giving of Mirefield and appointed Revon as his head advisor, the city experienced great success with his unique ideas. During his free time Revon would spend time reading about history and religion, learning ancient ideologies. He crafted his own theories of how a perfectly balanced realm would run and frustrated him.
"When I sit by a window in this tall keep, I look upon the populated city below me and see all these people living their lives. Men, women and children... A pointless cycle, doomed to live their lives for the very people I am surrounded by, but why? They vastly out number us, they could simply walk in here and take whatever they wanted. Because power, power is not about having the largest army nor the most wealth, It's about giving something that you can take away. These Lords and Ladies provided purpose to these peasants, if someone were to take away their jobs and homes what power do you hold over them? A man robbed of everything is a free man and a free man is a dangerous man, the nothing, the emptiness is exceedingly powerful."After 10 years of service he was casted out and left to fend for himself, Daeron Rahaleos with the assistance of Emily Raine discovered that Revon had been manipulating Saenella and Haelys Rahaleos. He would constantly feed them ideas of positive outcomes if the princesses were take specific actions such as kinslaying and usurping their grandfather. The nobles never uncovered Revon's reasons for attempting to orchestrate such hideous crimes but his influence still leaves the young women scared. In more recent times there is little sign of Revon's presence in The Isles of Isaiath. However echoes and whispers from the far away North Market's of Maronja, speak of a man who held himself together, caught in the clutches of defeat yet freed himself and continued to build his power. A man who one day wishes to return to the Isles and achieve a goal he set out to complete many years ago. Once again rumours fill the air about anyone and speculation is a worried persons greatest enemy.
