Randgriz
The "Axeman's Trial" is a fast track for the most heinous or high profile crimes in the Randgriz Empire. The trial is done with a jury of the three highest offices (or officially appointed representatives of the three highest offices) The Emperor, the head of the Morningstar Religion, and the Head of the Commerce Guild. The three jurors each have a two colored stone at their seat, white side up. At any point during the trial a juror may flip their stone to the black side. If at any point the three stones are black, the accused are put to death. The only way a defendant may leave is if all three jurors seats are left without any appointed juror in them. To date, only twice has an axeman's trial ended without an execution, though after one an angry mob killed the defendant, so the only true survivors of the axeman's trial were the Ascended Heroes, but only due to the assistance of Adam Faera, and the leader of the Morningstar.

History
The city was founded at the start of the Empire as the seat of power and a major economic hub of silver and gold mines. A massive blow was made to the people when the Dwarven Plague hit. The Randgriz Empire took the culprits, the Ascended Heroes and held them to an axeman trial to a bloodthirsty crowd. Luckily Adam Faera and the current head of the Morningstar both supported their freedom and prolonged the trial until they were allowed to enter a trial by combat with the Morningstar head to earn their freedom.
The city had confiscated the Reaver's Sword and used a second Elder Demon Soul to create a scabbrd to contain its dangerous power. The sword was later stolen by the founders of Fortune Networks and eventually returned by their agent Drake. Nozamere, a resident of the city was integral to the recovery after the Plague.
