Cockatrice

Cockatrices, also known as "Cobra Chickens," are a species of Monster found in The New World, which resemble a large snake or lizard crossed with a rooster. They previously existed in The Old World as well, but are no longer extant there. Their bite carries a magical venom capable of temporarily turning their victims into stone. They live in small flocks of three to eight and reproduce by laying eggs.

Their presence in the New World was confirmed on 8/21/213 by Djinn, Günther, Helena, Lyudmila, Myth, and Ranaghar. Cockatrice venom is a useful Resource for Crafting.
