Development

Development is the process by which Sanctuaries grow and expand over time, usually by exploiting nearby Resources. To some extent, this process is driven by NPCs, who are usually the ones doing the necessary work of Resource extraction and construction. Player characters may be called upon to assist, however, by Exploring the surrounding region to discover Resource Nodes and completing Bounties. It is in the players' best interest for Sanctuaries to Develop, as this renders them more defensible and expands the services they are able to provide.
