Gatefall Militia
The Gatefall Militia is a private military force employed by the Gatefall Company to maintain security and order in its New World colonies. Its commanding officer is Captain Lukas Brenner, who reports directly to Gatefall's Burgomeister, though the Militia is authorized to override the Burgomeister's authority and impose martial law in times of crisis. Its primary duties are to protect Gatefall and other settlements from the dangers of The Wilds, investigate crimes committed within the Company's jurisdiction, and ensure that all goods transported through the World Gate are properly inventoried and taxed.
