Gatefall Company
The Gatefall Company is a chartered business enterprise responsible for controlling travel and commerce through the World Gate, administering the settlement of Gatefall, and overseeing exploration of The New World. It is a subsidiary of the Atabean Trading Company headquartered in Karstadt, the location of the World Gate's Old World terminus. As the de facto rulers of Gatefall, the Company's directors appoint its Burgomeister and fund the Gatefall Militia, though they rarely take a direct hand in the New World's affairs unless they believe their profits are in jeopardy.
The Gatefall Company is structured as a joint-stock company and, thus, issues shares of Stock which may be bought, sold, or traded between individuals.
