Sheriff Clint
Clint, once a rugged miner seeking fortune in Phandalin, found a different kind of wealth when he fell in love with a local woman and decided to settle down. A man of modest means and honest labor, he traded his pickaxe for the responsibility of protecting the small town as its Sheriff. Phandalin became his home, a place where he raised his two children and took pride in the simple life he built. Clint’s dedication to his family and community made him a trusted figure in town, and his friendships, especially with Bart, the gentle Orc and owner of Stonehill Inn & Tavern, became a cornerstone of his life.
But Clint’s peaceful existence was shattered with the arrival of the The Redbrands. From the moment they set foot in Phandalin, Clint sensed trouble. His instincts, honed from years in the mines and sharpened by his role as Sheriff, warned him of the danger they posed. Harbin Wester, the ineffective Townmaster, offered little help, leaving Clint to investigate the The Redbrands on his own. He monitored their comings and goings, often meeting violence when he tried to confront them, but he never backed down. With Bart's support, Clint began to piece together the The Redbrands' plans, determined to protect Phandalin from their growing menace.
However, his bravery came at a cost. Clint was eventually captured by the The Redbrands and thrown into the cold, damp cells beneath Tresandor Manor and the Redbrand Hideout. Despite his resolve, he was left to languish in their makeshift prison, starved and forgotten. Before his capture, he urged his wife and children to leave for Leilon, knowing the danger was closing in. His family escaped Phandalin, but Clint was not so fortunate. He succumbed to starvation in the dark depths of Tresandor Manor, his absence a devastating blow to the town he loved.
The Owl Friends discovered his corpse on 12 Kythorn, 1491 DR as they were clearing out the organization's hideout. News of their discovery was delivered to Bart, who did not take it lightly.
