Imani was a Sailor Senshi from the Pleione System, the most recent Sailor Oceanus.

Special abilities

Telekinesis

Like Aaliyah, Imani has a restricted form of telekinesis. The first restriction is that she can only pull things towards her. The second restriction is that these things can only move in a straight line towards her. The larger and heavier an object, the more energy is required.

Astral Projection

As a Guardian of the Endless Ocean, Imani is able to send an astral projection into that realm when she's in her civilian form. As Sailor Oceanus, she is able to physically enter the realm. This allows her to cross great distances with ease.

Personal history

Imani was born on Lethe and lived there for many years - over a century in fact. She awoke as Sailor Oceanus when she was a teenager and was the most active of the Pleione senshi during that time. Unforunately, everything changed with the Fall of Lethe.
Strange invaders appeared out of nowhere one day and began wiping out cities on Lethe. Sailor Oceanus fought them but was barely able to inconvenience the attackers, let alone do anything to fend them off. Even when all of the Pleione senshi grouped together, they were unable to push back the invading force, leading to Sailor Pleione leaving to find help.
Surprisingly, help came in the form of tens of senshi. But, by this stage, Oceanus was the only native senshi standing when Pleione returned. And when the battle was over, Oceanus and Pleione surveyed what was left of their planet with what remained of their people. Sailor Pleione said Lethe was uninhabitable and wanted to evacuate those that were left to another system. Oceanus refused to leave her home, believing that they could still save Lethe. She made promises to the civilians that they could rebuild - it would be hard but it would be worth it. The people were divided, just like their senshi.
So Imani stayed on Lethe and worked with those that remained to rebuild it. But the invaders had made the land toxic so they couldn't grow food to eat and people fell sick. Imani was resistant because of her senshi status, so all she could do was stand by and watch as her people died. By the time she accepted that the only solution was to leave Lethe, it was too late. The few she managed to evacuate from the planet died before they could reach help, leaving Imani to arrive at the new homeland alone.
Imani was tried for multiple counts of manslaughter - responsible for the deaths of her people because she'd given them false hope about their chances on Lethe. She was imprisoned for over five-hundred years, serving these sentences, only getting out when Eos managed to get her parole.
When she was taken in, her parting words were, 'Tell Aaliyah I'll find her when I get out.' Many took this as some sort of threat to Lady Aaliyah Pleione (Sailor Pleione), likely in conjunction with the fight they'd had on Lethe and the fact that Aaliyah was the one who turned Imani in. So when Imani was granted parole, there was concern that she'd go after Aaliyah. The Senshi Council wanted to put Aaliyah into protective custody but she refused and the only concession she allowed was a senshi as a bodyguard; the council picked Kalani Luna (Sailor Atlas).
Imani did track down Aaliyah and even provoked her. Though it was not as anyone (except Aaliyah) believed it to be. Imani wasn't interested in fighting Aaliyah out of some misguided revenge. Instead, she chose death by Aaliyah's hands, as a final atonement for the deaths of their people.
