Session 47 - Twelve Weeks Later
General Summary
Though I've had the pleasure of some pretty special sessions in my years, this one rates way up there on the list! From start to finish, it was an absolute delight every single second. Shout out to the players: Diane, Josh, Rod & Will. You made a session with ZERO actual gameplay the most INCREDIBLE evening filled with fun and laughter! Thanks guys, CHEERS!
Time note: This session begins by continuing the timeline of the party quest for Saving Priest Tor, it then advances 12 weeks for "catch-up time" and is brought into the current timeline. This session ended on the 20th of Leandro (luscious month) (mountain day) all upkeep costs and downtime activities have been completed for the following characters in the world.
23th of Elisal (final Freeze) Water Day, The day of Refreshing
Completion of Saving Priest Tor by spending a few nights with Olwenna Mossveil to recover from the horrors at the Temple of a Lost God. During their stay Radloc Hudson comes to meet the witch of the Darkwood Forest. A deal is stuck between the witch and the caravan master to ensure aid in this year's coming thaw. Whisperings of growing forces of chaos mean the gauntlet will be more challenging than ever this season. Together the party and Radloc return to Eastdale for a much-needed extended recovery. Faliorn
[4/20/2024, 9:11:36 PM] The Party is Over...{Game Time: Lea 20, 46 20:24}
D8 Result: 4
Bonus: 3
Total: 7
Table: Quirky Table Generic
Outcome: You've become the patron of a gnome inventing club. Gain 4 XP and a club of inventing gnomes who occasionally offer you gadgets. Gold Cost: 187
Gnome club - "Improbable Ventures" is now working on a set of "Go Go Gadget Ears" for Faliorn.
Boat Krew - Seven unemployable "simple" dwarves were pawned off on the party by Garrick Ironmane before the harsh winter. While on the road; Faliorn took them under his wing teaching them all he knew about his former life on the seas. Eastdale lacks any formal use for sea legs, yet these dwarves have found unexpected employment. Radloc Hudson has put them to work ferrying the caravans around Eastdale, now known as the "Boat Krew" These dwarves employ a comical mixture of dimwitted humor and nautical terms to "sail" the streets of Eastdale and "ready the ships" (caravan carts) for travel outside the safety of Eastdales walls.

Total: 5
Table: Chart 1 Generic (OG)
Outcome: You've angered a local crime syndicate with your actions, losing 10% of your total wealth as "protection money”. Gain 3 XP and be barred from a district. Gold Cost: 157
This result has been reworked to fit the narrative of Fulb Petcher's new goal; Rebellion! As of recent some higher-ranking Church officials have become lazy and potentially corrupt. Fulb has had enough! He has asked Astelle and her moonshiners to do all they can to help keep the booze flowing at the Tart. Fulb gives 10% of his wealth to this endeavor.
In the latest RedLaw overreach; His Venerable Mercy, Mordicar the Justhand is accusing The Saucy Tart of serving alcohol outside of permitted hours for most of the winter months...and is ordering them closed! (This is true, food shortages caused unrest among the rough adventuring types. As a last resort Cravos Blackburn eased tensions by serving alcohol, breaking the Red Laws for weeks on end.)(see Maggots in the Food for the start of these troubles)
A new plot "A Saucy Rebellion" is born from this session (see world advancements at bottom of article for full context of this session)

Adding insult to injury, Prettly and his aspiring comedy act starting; Pretley's talking crow "Crowley", Brother Daniel, Nimbus, and some older orphans, put on a stage show in The Saucy Tart mocking Samuel Armstrong's grumpy and gruff edges.
Downtime activities
LemonZest's Stable
Fulb Petcher
- (2) weeks rest to recover from the events in the Temple of a Lost God.
- (2) research & translate books found in the temple.
Do the tomes we recovered have any gods that might be the old St. Ygg? If so, what is a noteworthy truth/detail listed about that god?
- The Books are donated to Kelda at the Temple of the Seven Stars . An agreement to keep these texts secret and safe from the book burners of The Church of St. Ygg, in exchange Fulb Petcher has unrestricted access to these texts when needed.
Inin
This critical failure was interpreted as success, Inin learned the properties of the weapon but at the cost of nearly dying. His inability to control the lightning/thunder force within the weapon was deemed the cause of this result.
