The Well

Here on the edge of Alfheim and Cîl Gorge, great elevation changes divide the landscape: the cold but beautiful mountain settlements on the eastern gorge where the water flows without ice some days, the other side of the mountain on the cliffs above the mostly dry River Rannor, and down in the riverbed, thick mud choked with the blighted remains of aquatic plants.
Unique here, as well as in the city of Pellam just to the north, are the plentiful wells of clean, pristine water, summoned from deep in the earth by the Waterdeep that dwell here. Compared to anywhere else in Svartalfheim except the other half of the Door of Lhoss in its state of perpetual autumn, The Well is a beautiful, if harsh and wild place.
