Mibrish

The Mibrish people are a loose collective of Eastern humans. They have ruddy to tan complexion and in general have curly hair ranging from red to light brown in hue. Their eyes are most commonly blue or grey, but some appear closer to steel or aquamarine.

Unisex names

As the Mibrish people are spread over a massive area their naming traditions aren't universal.  A recent trend in Mibran itself has been to give first names of colours, for instance Mauve or Alabaster.

Gender Ideals

In general Mibrish culture tries to separate the genders, not oppressively.  For instance, when seated at a mixed table, Men will sit on one side and Women will sit on the other.  Each will be served the same, but the separation is there to maintain dignity on both sides.  It was a system based on respect in the past, but has shifted into a societal tradition that is more commonly practiced by upper class members of society and some more southern Mibrish people.  Foreigners often find this to be a strange custom and in recent years there has been a strong push to end the tradition for good.
