Layer 333 - Thanatos

Thanatos, the realm of Orcus, is a terrifying and bleak wasteland that stretches almost endlessly. As one of the most feared and powerful demon lords, Orcus rules over this desolate domain with an iron fist. Thanatos is a land of darkness and death, where the very air is thick with the stench of decay and rot.

The sky over Thanatos is a sickly green color, and is often obscured by thick clouds of ash and smoke. The ground is barren and desolate, with jagged rocks and crags jutting up from the lifeless soil. The rivers that flow through Thanatos are sluggish and murky, with black water that is thick with sludge and the detritus of the dead.

The realm is also home to legions of undead creatures, from skeletons and zombies to powerful liches and vampires. These creatures roam the land, seeking out the living to add to their ranks, or guarding the many crypts and tombs that dot the landscape.

Thanatos is also home to numerous temples and fortresses, all dedicated to Orcus and his dark power. These structures are often built from the bones and skulls of the dead, and are guarded by powerful demons and undead minions. Within the temples, Orcus is worshipped and venerated, with his priests conducting foul rituals and sacrifices in his name.

Those who dare to enter Thanatos do so at great risk, for the realm is steeped in powerful magic and dark energy. The very fabric of reality is twisted and distorted in this realm, and those who linger too long risk becoming lost in the endless wastes, or worse, falling under the sway of Orcus and his legions of undead minions.
