Fort Liam
Is it a Fort or is it just a single stone tower at the entrance of The Iron Forest? Your guess is as good as mine.
I don't name these things you know, I'm just the storyteller, the man behind the DM screen. The great Wizard of Oz. I go by many names, but are they really JUST nicknames? Or are they whispers of fear in the night? Dungeon Mastah. Durgon Pastah. Dorgon Pastor... Marty. *Shudders*
This got weird and meta. How many 4th walls did I break there? At least 4, right? And now I know what you're thinking. You're thinking "How is he ever going to pull himself out of this weird hole that he created?" Should I just...talk about Fort Liam? I guess I should.
*AHEM* Fort Liam is a stone tower found in a clearing that serves as The Iron Forests safest entrance, and the only known way of finding The Wizard of the Iron Forest . As the forest is dangerous and no one knows the precise location of the Wizards home ( Myrddin ), your best bet is to head to Fort Liam and ask for passage. Unfortunately, the sole guard of the tower, a grumpy Rock Gnome known as Naz Tinkerbit has never granted passage to the Wizard's home for free. He insists that you pay the famously high price of 1,000 gold. Uncooperative visitors also typically find out that Fort Liam is called so not due to its heavily fortified and impressive nature, quite on the contrary, Fort Liam pales in comparison to the impressive walls of Myrefall . No, Fort Liam is called a Fort because of its magical capabilities. If Naz Tinkerbit deems it so, you will NOT be getting anywhere close to the tower. Better bring 1,000 gold.
