Moradin

God of Dwarves

Moradin is the dwarven deity of creation, patron of artisans, and the protector of the dwarven race. He is known as the Soul Forger, the All-Father, and the Dwarffather. Moradin is a lawful good deity who values honor, hard work, and craftsmanship, and is said to have created the dwarven race from gems and precious metals.

Typical worshipers

Dwarves are Moradin's most fervent worshipers, and he is revered as the most important deity in their pantheon. Other races, such as humans and gnomes, may also worship him for his values of industry, loyalty, and craftsmanship.

Clerical practice

Moradin's clerics are expected to uphold the dwarven values of honor and craftsmanship. They are skilled artisans, blacksmiths, and stonemasons, and many of them work to create intricate and beautiful works of art in Moradin's honor. They are also expected to be protectors of their people and to stand up against evil and injustice.

Rituals and prayers

Dwarven priests of Moradin lead rituals and prayers that often involve singing, dancing, and reciting epic poems that tell the history of the dwarven people. These rituals are held in underground temples or in the midst of their great works of architecture, such as mines or forges. Many of these rituals also involve the crafting of intricate metalwork, as a way of honoring the dwarven craft and Moradin's role as the Soul Forger.
