The Mariner's Rest is a legendary tavern and inn that sits on the edge of The Sunken Collective's territory, in the bustling outpost of Coral Harbour. It's built upon the hull of an ancient galleon that is said to have sailed the seas before the Great Sundering. The tavern is a hub for traders, sailors, and adventurers from across the realms, known for its hearty food, rare spirits, and the exchange of tales and treasures.
The inn is adorned with relics and artifacts from countless voyages, and its walls are lined with maps of the known and unknown parts of the Shattered Realms. Purpose / Function
Originally a large warship, the Mariner's Rest now serves as a welcoming sight for weary travellers. It features a large bar area in the former cargo hold, a secondary bar in the forecastle, and a large open seating area on the main deck. The gun deck hosts the 10 rooms for rent, the captain's cabin area are the residential rooms of Lyria Buhne and Torgen, and the converted quarterdeck houses the private chambers of Telaria Windsong.
Alterations
Since being permanently beached, there have been several adjustments made to the structure of the ship, the name of which has long been forgotten.
A large decking area has been added outside of the front entrance, allowing for seating in the fresh sea air.
Balconies have been added on the first floor (formerly the gun deck), the main deck (formerly the captain's cabin), the quarterdeck, and the forecastle.
