Vampires

Vampires are the blood-drinking creatures of myth, legend, and numerous profitable movie franchises such as Blade, Twilight, the popular television series True Blood (based on the Suki Stackhouse novels) and numerous novels. None of this would have been possible without Bram Stoker, who exposed Vlad Dracula (Vlad the Impaler) and his kind to the world in print.   Though a vampire resembles a normal human, they all have slightly paler skin, sharp retractable canine teeth, and intoxicating blue eyes. They may live forever, surviving on a diet of blood. Although they prefer the smell and taste of human blood, vampires can survive by ingesting the blood of animals. Modern vampires developed a way to feed without killing humans: the stun, feed, heal method. A vampire’s eyes will appear to swirl when they gloss/hypnotize a victim; otherwise, their eyes can glow bright blue when they use their powers or are about to bite a victim. The arch-enemy of the Vampire is the Lycan.

Additional Information

Domestication

Vampires had to evolve as the world modernized. As television, the news media, and technology developed over the past century, they found themselves facing exposure and feared a human-driven extinction level event similar to the witch hunts of the nineteenth century. They feared the humans would develop technologies to detect and mass-murder their kind. The majority of Vampires have evolved beyond their predatory instincts. Instead of killing simply victims, most Vampires feed on animals or specific humans without killing them. You’d be surprised at how many people are enthralled with Vampire lore.

Facial characteristics

The eyes of a Vampire give off an eerie blue glow when they are unmasked or using their powers. When Vampires attempt to gloss/hypnotize a human, the irises of their eyes briefly shift to white and appear to swirl.
