Blast Town

History

After The Great Quakes subsided, Edge City expanded rapidly, sprawling from the Pacific coastline to the edge of The Devil's Belt. The neighborhoods beyond The Canyons were plagued by constant tremors, until the quake they call the Last Big One hit in the summer of 1974 and the south eastern border of the city was evacuated. This section of cracked roads and broken building runs over 40 miles long and 7 miles wide, and is known in the Canyons as Blast Town.
The area is recognized as neutral ground between Las Plagas and The Syndicate, which means there is less incentive to fight each other there, but there are no serious repercussions if they do. As such, larger gang fights and duels often take place in the ruins of Blast Town.
