Bloodfang Wellington
Agent Bloodfang Wellington
Bloodfang Wellington (born simply Bloodfang) is an agent of Force Grey and served as an ally to the Breadwinners during the Great Dragon War.
History
Early Life
Bloodfang was born in 1456. As a member of the Scaly Death Tribe, he was raised to be one of the tribe's warriors, though Bloodfang was always fascinated by life outside of the Mere of Dead Men. In the early 1480's, Bloodfang discovered an old broken caravan in the swamp, near the High Road. In it, he found an old pith hat, a crossbow, and an old book, A Gentleman's Guide, which detailed outdated ideas on civilization, culture, and imperialism. Bloodfang was enthralled and believed the book to be the standard by which humanoids outside the Mere of Dead Men lived, so he began modeling his life after it. His strange and erratic behavior alienated from many others in the tribe. In the early 1490's, the Scaly Death Tribe allied itself with the Cult of the Dragon, believing them to represent the tribe's feared master, Voaraghammanthar. Bloodfang, who now had added Wellington to his name, was ordered to stay behind and protect the tribe's home and families, because the other warriors found him unnerving. In Tarsakh of 1492, the Breadwinners and Force Grey Agent Viné Seraph disrupted the Cult of the Dragon's operation in the Mere of Dead Men, freeing the Scaly Death Tribe. The tribe's new chieftain, Snapjaw, dispatched Bloodfang to retrieve the adventurers and invite them to participate in the Bullywug Hunt. Bloodfang took this opportunity to learn more about the outside world, and assisted the Breadwinners by killing Pharblex Splattergoo and helping to uncover Yssondreneth's Tomb.An Agent of Force Grey
When the Breadwinners and Bloodfang returned to the Scaly Death Tribe, Snapjaw prepared to put Bloodfang to death for not taking Pharblex Splattergoo in alive. Bloodfang reasoned that the shaman posed a greater threat alive and could have killed one of the adventurers, but Snapjaw was unmoved. However, the Breadwinners were declared the Bullywug Hunt's champions and used their granted boon to spare Bloodfang's life. When the Breadwinners decided to return to Waterdeep with the Gauntlet of the Black Dragon, Bloodfang asked to come with them. He joined Force Grey Agent Viné Seraph, who offered to show him the city. Seraph recognized Bloodfang's skill with his crossbow and unique tracking abilities and extended to him an invitation to join Force Grey. Bloodfang accepted and in a few months time was made a full agent. During the Battle at the Well of Dragons, Bloodfang was one of the allies of the Breadwinners who assisted them in their infiltration of the Well of Dragons. While the Breadwinners directly fought Don Rel, and later a fully revived Bastion, Bloodfang held off Cult of the Dragon members that attempted to stop them. Bloodfang died during the battle, holding off an attack by Cult of the Dragon leader Amara, but was resurrected afterwards. In the years since the Great Dragon War, Bloodfang has continued to operate as an agent of Force Grey. Though unsubtle in his methods and appearance, the lizardfolk has nevertheless found a home for himself in Waterdeep.Social
