Greave of the Blue Dragon
The Greave of the Blue Dragon is one of the six pieces of the Armor of Tiamat, created from the scales of the first blue dragon.
It was stolen from Varram the Blue by the Zhentarim during the Great Dragon War.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
On its own, the Greave of the Blue Dragon appears to be an ornate greave made of blue dragon scales fit for a large creature. However, when a creature touches the greave, it shrinks or grows to fit their size. When worn, the greave melts into the wearer's leg, burning away the original skin and replacing it with the foot of a red dragon. The greave can then not be taken off short of magical means.
With time and proper attunement, the Greave of the Blue Dragon can grant its wearers many abilities. The greave can allow its wearer to coat weapons in a magical electrical charge. A properly trained user can also revert the dragon foot back into a greave. The greave can also allow its wearer to transform into a blue dragon of increasing age, depending on the wearer's level of attunement with the item.

Significance
The Greave of the Blue Dragon was created from the first blue dragon as a way to preserve their power even beyond death. As a piece of the Armor of Tiamat, the gauntlet resonated with Tiamat and could assist in her summoning, as attempted by Don Rel during the Great Dragon War.
