African American

African Americans (also called Black Americans) are American citizens who trace their ancestry wholy or partly to Black African people. The term is most commonly (although not exclusively) used to refer to the decendants of enslaved people, rather than recent immigrants.

African Americans are the second largest racial group in the United States.
