Hoenir was the son of Vé Borson and Rindr, and the third King of Asgard.
He married Gefjon, with whom he had three sons, future King of Asgard Bor the Younger, Njord, later King of Vanaheim, and the seer Mimir.
He was killed in battle against the forces of Muspelheim, making his the shortest reign in Asgardian history.
