Hrimthurs
The Hrimthur were an ancient race of God-Giants lead by Ymyr. They are the progenitors of all Giants, as well as the Asgardians.
Due to the insular nature of most of the Nine Realms, as well as the high levels of background magic in many of the Realms, it has been impossible to verify whether they actually existed or are only part of a cultural creation myth.
