Kyln
The Kyln was an prison satelite opperated by the Nova Empire. It is located in orbit around Xandar.
In 2014, it was the site of the first meeting of the founding members of the Guardians of the Galaxy. In order to retrieve the Orb, the group worked together to escape by turning off the artificial gravity in the station.
Shortly afterward, Ronan the Accuser and Nebula arrived at the Kyln in search of the Orb. After interrogating a number of prisoners and guards, Ronan gave the order for the prison to be "cleansed". His followers then proceeded to murder every prisoner and guard on the station.
Following the massacre, the Kyln was decomissioned. The station was eventually repurposed as a base for the Nova Corps, and renamed the Low Orbit Corps Station, although it is still colloquially referred to as the Kyln.
