Russians (Russian: русские) are an ethnic group native to Western Russia, decended from the Kiev Rus.
There are also significant Russian diaspora communities in Easten Europe and the United States. Although Russia is home to 193 ethnic groups, the sparce population of Siberia and government base being in Moscow means Russians hold the majority of government possitions.
