Yu Sen is a sorceror, and Senechal of the Masters of the Mystic Arts, a position he has held under three Sorcerors Supreme .
He takes little interest in the workings of the Masters outside of that which directly impacts on his work.
During the invasion of the Empirikul , he chose to go into hiding rather than fight. However, due to his known lack of interest in actually practising magic, he was not condemned for this by the surviving Masters, and he was allowed to return to his duties once the invasion was repelled.
