Hong Kong Sanctum
The Hong Kong Sanctum is one of the bases of the Masters of the Mystic Arts alongside the New York Sanctum and the London Sanctum.
Following the death of the Sanctum Master at the hands of the Zealots, the Sanctum was destroyed, but it was later repaired by Doctor Strange using the Eye of Agamatto, and August Wu was appointed the new Master.
The Sanctum was attacked and badly damaged during the invasion of the Empirikul, and the Sanctum Master was forced to abandon it. After the defeat of the Empirikul, it was repaired, and August Wu resumed her position as Sanctum Master.
Artefacts held in the Sanctum include the Mask of P'u-Hua, the Staff of Wan-Tai, Zhulong, and the Eyes of the Dragon. The Muramasa blade was previously held at the Sanctum, but was stolen in the late 1960s. The then-Sanctum Master traced the thief to Osaka, but was not able to retrieve it.
Since the theft, the Sanctum has been viewed as secondary to the London and New York Sanctums. This attitude has not been helped by an increasing hostility to the Masters of the Mystic Arts by Asian magic users due to the organisation's percieved colonialism, and the growing Chinese control of Hong Kong.
