The figure who had charged Ian McKnee with stealing the Cornerstones of Creation is revealed to be Cthon in disguise.

In order to prevent him from corrupting the Cornerstones with the power of the Darkhold, McKnee's accomplice Ashake contacts the Masters of the Mystic Arts to request their help, and they join the battle, successfully banishing Cthon to the Flickering Realms.
