August Wu
Xiuying Wu (a.k.a. 吳 秀英 | August Wu of the Coral Shore)
The sorcerer known as August Wu is the current Master of the Hong Kong Sanctum.
She has acted as the magical protector of Hong Kong for decades, but long resisted joining the Masters of the Mystic Arts, due to their connection to the United Kingdom and other colonial powers. She eventually agreed to join after Hong Kong came under Chinese rule in the 1990s.
After the destruction (and later restoration) of the Hong Kong Sactum by the Zealots, Tina Minoru chose to step down as Sactum Master. Wu was appointed to replace her on the recomendation of Wong, a long-time friend.
During the invasion of the Earth by the Empirikul, she was one of the group of sorcerors, along with her daughter Alice Wu, who were responsible for destroying the Eyebots and Witchfinder Wolves.
She is considered one of the world's foremost experts on spellcrafting, especially on how to combine existing spells to create new effects.
