Equipped with their belongings, they stealthily navigated past the vigilant Clockwork Soldiers and attempted to escape their confines. Their daring escape was almost successful, until a close encounter with discovery forced Finwick to obliterate a formidable Clockwork Commander, securing their freedom. Amid the bustling streets of Stormwind, they stumbled upon a god-forsaken temple, its avatar absent. Invictus vowed to restore the deity's honor, a pledge born of determination and conviction.
Their inquiries led them to a tavern where cards mingled with secrets, unraveling the tale of the Verdant Viper. An alchemist shop's repeated robberies came to light, prompting their investigation. Finwick's keen senses guided them, though a lock thwarted their efforts. Returning to the tavern, Weston engaged Rylan, a master thief, in a card game where cunning and cheating intertwined. Rylan's debt was absolved in exchange for his lock-picking talents, uncovering a house with mysteries and a hidden passage to the sewers.
Within these murky depths, the chase commenced as they pursued the Verdant Viper through perilous encounters, from Giant Leeches to treacherous traps. Finally cornering the enigmatic figure, they discovered his sinister plot: siphoning godly magic from the head of a missing avatar, injecting it into himself to monstrous effect. In a climactic clash, the group faced the transformed Viper, Finwick's precision disrupting his lifeblood tubes and sealing his defeat.
As victory settled, a divine voice resonated in Invictus's mind, presenting him an offer that would shape their journey and future paths.
