Session 3 - Forest and Flame

General Summary

Continuing their perilous journey through the dungeon, the group encounters Cedric, the wizard from the first floor. Shockingly, he reveals the tragic demise of Tobias, who fell victim to monsters on the first floor. Cedric, now holding the key to the next door, insists that the party teams up with him to proceed.
During their exploration, Darius spots Rylan, another contestant, under attack by a deceptive Kelpie. Acting swiftly, Darius intervenes, saving Rylan from the Fey creature's grasp.
As they reach the court of the Dryad Queen on the second floor, the enchanting beauty of the Fey ruler captivates Caprinus. To their surprise, the Dryad Queen and her Satyr servant, Seilenos, emerge as the formidable bosses of the floor. A grueling battle ensues, pushing the group to the brink of defeat. In a moment of triumph, Enigma manages to overcome the powerful Fey adversaries.
Awakening on the third floor, Darius utilizes his magical abilities to summon a healing spring, aiding his companions. They reunite with Wolfsong, learning the unfortunate fate of Melodius.
In a dining room on the third floor, the group encounters Harl, Lena, and a mysterious drow named Zinnaeris. The challenge presented is to consume three dishes, some of which are poisoned. Tragically, Harl and Lena succumb to the poisonous fare.
Progressing further, the group bears witness to a fierce duel between Galadrian and Dendro. The battle concludes with Dendro's demise, adding to the mounting toll of fallen contestants.
Caprinus stumbles upon a magical ice dagger, and the group reunites with their ally Weston. Observing The Ruby Warrior single-handedly defeating the third-floor boss, anticipation builds as the group prepares for their own confrontation.
As their turn arrives, the party, joined by Derrin and Vida, faces a formidable Phoenix. The battle unfolds with Derrin meeting a tragic end. Utilizing the magical ice dagger, Caprinus weakens the fiery foe, transforming into a pterodactyl to deliver the decisive blow, vanquishing the Phoenix and securing their passage to the next floor. The journey through the dungeon continues, marked by triumphs, losses, and the unrelenting challenges that lie ahead.
