In order to curry favor among the merchant class, the Brynholders head a great feast for local caravaners. It didn't end well, with Backplate Just, son of Blindwolf Ditliv who was visiting from Kystinlagir, insulting Thrice-Blessed Luri, an important Stionhays merchant.

The stone, imported from Stionhays and used for repairs, has begun to dry up, slowing repairs and construction.

Brynhold was a local warlord - bandit turned political leader - that claimed to be decended from Pilot Noku and thus used the Pankrazer clan name, which is the same as the Count's. The Count, not happy with this, bribed Byrnhold's son with the Aufsehership of the territory to use his mother's name to found a new clan to stop this behavior.
