City Guards

The City Guards are the defenders and law enforcement of the Autaran Capital who answer to the Queen of Stars and her High Minister of Justice.
Their job is to guard and patrol the city and protect the inhabitants from harm and danger.

Ranks

Anyone can join the City Guards, as long as they are of fit body and mind and do the work necessary. One will be trained for the job if one does not have prior experience.
Most of the guards work manning the gates and walls of the city as well as patrolling the streets giving out citation tickets when necessary. More higher-ranking officials may do detective work investigating crimes.

Capitan of the Guard

The Capitan of the Guard is the leader of the City Guard in charge of all of the organization's operations and reports directly to the High Minister of Law and occasionally the Queen of Stars.

Uniform

The City Guards wear uniforms consisting of a gambeson and a padded jacket- with chainmail or a breastplate overtop. They also wear metal helmets, some of which have feather plumes on top.
When guarding the gates or the walls, they will be armed with a pole-arm weapon as well as a short sword and dagger.
