Pokemon: Shadows Over Silverthorne
Pokemon: Shadows over Silverthorne is a spin-off series that takes place in the northern Kanto town of Silverthorne. Silverthorne Academy is a famed school for aspiring young trainers who attend from all over the world. The stories follows multiple protagonist and their group of friends as they experience strange events happening around the school as some try to solve and stop the strange events while others simply try and cope with it.
Shadows Over Silverthorne is unique as it's first chapter is considered a "prologue" chapter that highlights major events that take place at Silverthorne Academy and in the town of Silverthorne parallel to events that occur parallel to the events in Pokemon: The Indigo Chronicles and other series within the World of Pokemon. This chapter is unnoficially refered to as "Chapter Zero." Chapter One takes places alongside other series such as Pokemon: New Horizons and Pokemon: Seasons.
The cast of character in Shadows Over Silverthorne is comprised of an ensemble of characters with different episodes focusing on different groups of characters. While most characters generally stick with their cliques and groups; the groups often times interact whether it's to solve a problem or simply socialize. While no particular group is considered the "main protagonist" it is notable that Hiro Kodama, Willow Aspen and Zyran Antilles are the three present for the main conflict of the story and those involved with their "Investigation Team" often are present in regards to events connected to "The Hooded Figure."

Trivia
- Shadows over Silverthorne was first teased at the end of New Horizons Chapter 1 with Hermit appearing beside Willow at the schools exterior and speaking with Professor Pines and Headmistress King.
- While Zyran Antilles and Willow Aspen (Fjord) are the only two main characters to appear in other series before appearing in Shadows over Silverthorne, many easter eggs referencing characters can be found throughout other series such as: a framed picture of Nicole Fennel with her aunts on Vivian Fennel's desk (Seasons), a file about Edgar Pines on Louis desk (Pathways) and a music video featuring Allison MacNeal's band playing on a pokemon center screen though Allison is absent (Emerald Chronicles)
- This is the first series to feature Professor Elm in person; although he had been mentioned many times before by Ami Littleton and Loren Velter.
- Many characters such as Riley Svensson, Crystal Lear, and Liddia Fjord all appear during the prologue of Shadows over Silverthorne marking their first appearance chronologically though not officially.
