Alethkar
The country of Alethkar is a collaboration of princedoms that all technically work together under a shared geographical identity. This stems from old history of Alethkar being once unified under The Sunmaker, a great king and conqueror. However, today the princedoms are moving closer towards independence, instead of continuing as a unified country.
Geography
In the center of the Western side of the world of Roshar, lies that large country of Alethkar. Alethkar is divided into 10-11 princedoms, Kholin, Ruthar, Sadeas, Kalanor, Hatham, Bethab, Sebariel, Thanadal, Aladar, and Roion are the 10 primary princedoms in Alethkar, however Herdaz is usually counted as the 11th princedom if Allethkar has taken sovereignty over Herdaz. Each princedom has its own geography thus more detailed information on the geography can be found in the princedom's individual articles.
The major geographical locations include the Deathbend, Cultivation, and Windrunner rivers, lakes Deleau, Kholinar, Tathune, and Marriam. For mountain ranges, The Niatara peaks, Glasgave Range, Wynborn mountains, and the Desolate peaks are all located in Alethkar, and the Malveillant desert is located in western Alethkar. In central Allethkar is the Bread basket of Allethkar, which expands in Thanadal, Ruthar, Kholin, and Aladar lands, it also slightly peaks into Roion territory. This expanse of land is one of the only locations that provides the perfect climate to growth Sunwheat, the only wheat variety that can survive high storms.
Alethkar features a number of forests, which include: The Attleboar woods, Shrewsning forest, Cielsend woods, Wynford forest, Temisland forest, Tomronto Timberlands, The Winterlands, Deleau woods, Eastram forest, Glasgrave woods, and the Pinnacle greens.
Fauna & Flora
Alethkar Flora and Fauna is quite similar to the wooded forest, however much like the rest of Roshar, all plant life is very sturdy inn nature, as the entire world has evolved to weather out the high storms.
Natural Resources
There are two types of grains and a type of startch that grow in Alethkar. The most popular and widely eaten grain is a type of starch, which is sort of like a potato. It is grown under the ground like a potato, and it forms a sort of bark like covering above ground with protects it from being destroyed during high storms. The two types of grain are Sunwheat and and Lavis. Lavis is like rice, and must be grown rice paddy like fields. Sunwheat on the other hand it exactly like wheat, except it has a long reed like stalk, which the Sunwheat retracts into during high storms. Sunwheat is commonly used to make bread, while Lavis is used to make a sort of halal flatbread.
