Uztek Shattergut
The younger Shattergut brother is quiet around new people, but bickers constantly with his twin, Kordil. He is booksmart and headstrong - though perhaps not as stubborn as Kordil, who usually takes the lead. Uztek complains that he would have been accepted into the University of Esset-Khal last summer if Kordil hadn’t dragged him into yet another harebrained scheme, which their wealthy noble family barely managed to bail them out of. He planned to study chemistry, but isn’t as bitter about the missed opportunity as he seems. In reality he is somewhat relieved at the pressure lifted from his shoulders and looks forward to a life with more freedom than his noble heritage allowed.
The Shatterguts are a wealthy land-owning family known to support the crown, and for this reason Jaret was reluctant to bring them into the Thieves of the Hoard. But their talents are undeniable: both Kordil and Uztek are limber acrobats and sneakthieves, with lockpicking skills and a keen eye for the valuable. Their intimate knowledge of noble homes makes them an invaluable resource.
