Ardcathair

Ardcathair is the southwestern lordship of Sabersycha, ruled by House Stríbheatha.

Geography

Ardcathair is characterized by its difficult terrain; a large mesa stands in the middle of a plateau, which rises from the sloped hills of Loch Thiar. Though difficult, it is not impossible to traverse, prompting lord Maodhog Stríbheatha to build the eponymous castle atop the mesa in the 3rd century AB. From this vantage point, the entire border with the Yokun Empire can be observed, allowing the lord to preemptively deploy forces in advantageous ground.
