Grand Duchy of Arkford
The Grand Duchy of Arkford is one of the two Aderian duchies, with Arkford controlling The Green Crest and some parts of the Gold Coast and the duchy of Ammand ruling over the Aderian Peninsula. It is ruled by House Tanniford, which shares its coat of arms.
History
In 927 the duchy was ordered by king Kairoz Andoriani II to resettle in what was then known as the plagued marshes, due to the decline and almost cessation in cases of Shrieking Death in the area. Resettlement attempts were extremely successful, so much so that today the area is known by another name, the Leimar Wetlands.
