Delta Caeli Shipyard

Shipyard orbiting Delta Antilae VII used by the Alti Dominion in the Delta Caeli System.
The shipyard, although it is only small, is used as an important base for Alti attacks on the system. This gives it a strategic value that other factions have attempted to destroy (without sucess). Materials are supplied to the station via shuttle from the surface. The Dominion does not have a very strong foothold on the world, so they could not construct space elevators. This has made the world and shipyard vulnerable to raids. As mentioned, all of these raids have been held off so far.
The Shipwrights working at this shipyard often live on the shipyard itself to make logistics easy. Some, however, live in other stations orbiting Delta Caeli VII. Although this can make logistics more difficult, space travel between stations is very easy to spacefaring civilizations such as the Alti Dominion, so this does not have a significant impact on the shipyards operation.
The shipyard itself is also armed to deal with invasions from other factions, as well as being defended by several defence platforms.
