Kriunqu
A species of Troznux Arkan bioship. Kriunqu are relatively small, being only about 70 m long. They have several bio-plasma cannons mounted in various locations on their body, which can engage targets from many directions. They also have a large harpoon-like appendage, meant to stab prey and pull them in.
They are quite slow for their size, in terms of linear acceleration and maneuverability, but make up for it with a biological shield defending themselves from other species projectiles - including mechanical starships. They also have a strong carapace, capable of withstanding a lot of fire.
They have an average metabolism rate, and can eat most things smaller than themselves in the arkan ecosystem. To develop its shell, they need to eat calcium.
They will try to retreat from predators.
For propulsion, krinqu rely on special organs that exploit bioluminescence at extremely high energy to emit a very large number of photons. This pushes the body in the opposite direction due to conservation of momentum. This operation also produces a lot of heat however.
In space, heat cannot conduct to any atmosphere as there is no atmosphere. Therefore, excess heat must be removed from the body, this is done though large external organs that collect all the excess energy the body produces. They become very hot and start glowing, which causes them to cool down as photons are emitted. This provides a krinqu with a way to dissipate heat assuming these organs arent armed. They also get a large and very energy intensive organ which can collide particles to create gravitons. These are then refracted through the body through Graviton Wave Refraction to warp space, and cause the krinqu to achieve superluminal travel.
Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
They reproduce trisexually. All 3 must be present, but the eggs they lay can grow multiple kriunqu young simultaneously.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Psionic superluminal location.
There are also eyes on every bio-plasma turret, they can see in all directions.
