Narlas VIII
Ice giant planet located in the Narlas System, the home system of the Ikagohoh Clan.
Narlas VIII is actually slightly on the warmer end of ice giants. This is because it is positioned relatively close to the star relative to its brightness (Narlas is a class B star). Although it is mostly useless to the Ikagohoh clan in terms of resources, the surface layer has a concentration of hydrogen atoms which is exploited. These gas giant harvesting stations must however be careful not to probe too deep else they risk flooding the hydrogen tanks with very dense oxygen which is likely to break most of the station.
Instead then, they study it. The Clan would soon go on to realize that this type of planet is common, but not its large rotational velocity. For unknown reasons, the planet spins significantly faster than any other in the system, so therefore the science stations have remained useful to investigate this anomaly. This has advanced Ikagohoh science as a whole slightly. To provide food to any workers, there are large biodome ring worlds that orbit the gas giant. Ikagohoh are permitted to visit practically any time to hunt food on the ring worlds, but are also required to keep the ring worlds usable by others in the future.
