Psi Nalut VII
A shellworld of the Hyperion Federation in the Psi Nalut System.
Psi Nalut VII is a habitable world with a shell around it. It also features an abundance of magnetic monopoles, making it one of the very few worlds with both magnetic monopoles and habitable conditions. Psi Nalut VII holds a population well into the billions, and often extract monopoles from the ground as they are an extremely valuable material often used for experiments. However, the inhabitants have a unique culture involving eating monopoles. As most species cannot digest them, the Hyperion Federation has used seperation machines to obtain them from waste. They almost only eat monopoles on one particular day, the day this world was discovered. Traditionally, it brings the people closer to the planet they live on. This is a highly diverse culture that is comprised of about 80 different species including Suons and humans.
It is one of the furthest planets from te star and as such orbits at a very slow speed. There are several continents of the planet, as the HF has seeded oceans by placing a large volume of water on the world. The 10 largest continents are called:
Turalnakal, Qunaisai, Puanawi, Grazhat, Hal, Lanraeia, Yawjg, Xralthak, Urbavu and Waitahef.
Many extraction facilities are built in deep parts of the ocean such as trenches and traditional low geographic areas. These can extract a surprisiing number of monopoles, but while fewer facilities are placed on land, these can produce more than half of the world's monopoles. This is because placing them on land is more expensive (as they could build other structures there), but mines built underwater has to deal with issues of flooding.
