Lower Lazgar (Laz-Garr)
Introduction:
Lower Lazgar is the southern portion of the Lazgar region. Due to its dense forests the region is dificult to navigate over land but easy to navigate via the Nena River that runs through it. Where the Nena River and Outer Sea meet there is a large town known as Wavewatch. Wavewatch thrives upon trade from the sea, however recent harassment by pirates have caused Wavewatch to fall on hard times. As the people of Wavewatch struggle against the pirates, the remainder of Lower Lazgar has been left unwatched and in the absence of hunters, monsters have taken root.History:

Geography
Lower Lazgar is comprised of forested wetlands formed by the meeting of the Nena River that flows from the Celestial Mountain to the north and the Outer Sea that divides the East from West in Thinia. The northern border is formed by the tail of the Serpent Mountains, the western border abuts the Triarchy Peaks, the eastern border the Abbas Waste, and the southern border the Poli Sea and River. Where the dense vegetation can be cleared the wetlands can be used for agriculture, but there is sufficient sustenance from flora and fauna to support a population without mass agriculture.
Climate
The climate of Lower Lazgar is tropical savana. Lower Lazgur experience a wet season about 6 months a year and a dry season the other six months. Flooding along the coast and riverbanks is common in the rainy season and can make travel more difficult and perilous. Locals have learned to account for this and build defenses against flooding.
Natural Resources
Lower Lazgar has plentiful citrus bearing plants, banana trees, and lumber. There are also a number of fish that can be caught within the river and bay.
History
Wavewatch is a relatively new town, being founded 500 years ago during the rule of the last Archons. The town was founded by a banner of Lord Maltus Thenelis. The banner was a Sea Dwarf named Brannis Scaleshield. Dame Scaleshield bought her bannership and the right to build Wavewatch with a chest of treasures she gifted to Lord Maltus. Since then the Scaleshield family has ruled Wavewatch at the pleasure of House Thenelis. The relationship between the port and the Capitol of Lazgar remains strong and Lord Malthu's first stop upon his ascension to Lord of House Thenelis was the Foaming Fort, home to Ser Tartis Scaleshield.
In the past year Wavewatch has struggled with incursions and raids from the Quadrarchy, a confederacy of pirates and thieves that make their home in the Four Point Mountains to the south of Wavewatch. Ser Scaleshield has requested aid from Lord Malthu but Lazgar does not currently have the soldiers to spare. As a result times have become lean in Wavewatch.
Tourism
The primary population center in Lower Lazgar is the large town of Wavewatch. Wavewatch is home to approximately five thousand people, mostly of Orc and Half-Orc desent. The port is a popular destination for sailors from the east and north. Wavewatch has developed a number of popular taverns. The two most notable of these are the Hero and the Shield and The Archon's House.
