Upper Lazgar (Laz-Garr)

Upper Lazgar is the northern portion of the Lazgar Region. The city of Lazgar is centrally located within Upper Lazgar. Due to the proximity of the capitol, Upper Lazgar is fairly safe but there are still a number of dangers beyond the safety of walled cities and towns.
Geography
Upper Lazgar is situated between the head and tail of the Serpent Mountains and south of Celestial Mountain. It is bisected by the Nena River that turns west and divides Upper and Lower Lazgar. Upper Lazgar is dominated by hills and forests. In the hinterlands surrounding Lazgar there is large scale agriculture, but much of the region remains unsettled wilderness.
Natural Resources
Upper Lazgar has access to plentiful sources of stone, salt, and lumber. There is plentiful wild game in the forests of the region and opportunities to forage for various foods.
