Isenhall
Isenhall is the name of the family estate of the Noble House of Isenbar. It is located just north of the City of Wessold in the northwest corner of the High Kingdom of Imesse. It is a dated and ill-maintained manor house that was much admired when it was first constructed more than 78 years ago by the first Lord Isenbar, Holden. Granted the noble title and vast estates in the Wessold region, Holden has Isenhall built of local brownstone on the shore of a small clear lake. A high stone wall circled the manor to protect it from the ever-present threat of attack from the wild western steppe.
In the decades since its construction, little time, effort or gold has been spent on the upkeep or improvement of Isenhall. The protective wall has been almost entirely removed so the stone could be used elsewhere. Aggressive logging and land clearing has caused the local streams and rivers to flood more often, silting up the small lake that once was such a boon to the manor's appearance. Poor management of the estate has driven off nearly half of the resident farmers and tenants, further reducing available coin to improve or even maintain the manor.
Most worrisome of all are the recurring rumors of an growing Orc threat from the west. Word of the Togorrukh menace is repeated throughout the lands and villages of Wessold, with no apparent action being taken.
