Laurace is a man raised from the ranks. He began soldiering as a young man of 16, and has done very little since. He has made his fortune fighting for money and competing in tournaments, and he has done very well. He has made a career studying the arta nd strategy of war, and is now in a position to practice that study with steel.

Laurace is driven to make a name for himself as the consumate fighter. He trains daily with a variety of weapons, practices horsemanship and archery, and has collected an impressive library of texts and treatise on war, combat and soldiering. He was placed in the Viscounty specifically because of this drive to make and win war, as the Count of Killmor wants to make as much trouble for his two neighbors to the west (the County of Delmor and the County of Balmor) as possible.
