Marithali

The Marithali is the name given to a now extinct culture, which died out when it's empire, the Marithal Empire collapsed.
Today, the Marithal Basin is primarily inhabited by three ethnic groups: the Senji, the Mallith, and the Watari. In addition, there are smaller numbers of hybrid populations resulting from the mixing of these ethnic groups or occasional intermarriages with visiting seafarers.

• Senji - The Senji people are believed to be the direct descendants of the Marithal Empire, having adapted and survived through the centuries since the Empire's collapse.
• Watari - The Watari are an enigmatic people who inhabit the forests and highlands of the Marithal Basin. Their origins are shrouded in mystery, but it's commonly whispered that they descended from the mountains into the Marithal Basin around the time of the Empire's collapse.
• Mallith - The Mallith are coastal dwellers who've managed to carve out a living in the Marithal Basin's challenging environment.

Despite their potential historical link to the Marithal Empire, all the groups hold a certain wariness towards the ancient ruins. Over time, these once-majestic structures have become the backdrop of their daily life - a mysterious echo of a past that feels far removed from their present.
