Half - Orcs

Whether united under the leadership of a mighty warlock or having fought to a standstill after years of conflict, orc and human tribes sometimes form alliances, joining forces into a larger horde. When these alliances are sealed by marriages, half orcs are born.
In the islands north of Korosk, such a union seemed to have taken place, as the tribes of half-orcs roamed free there, taking not much involvement in the civilisations to their south. Here, they warred with nearby orcish tribes, and lived their lives.
They share traits with both their human and their orcish kin. Orcs were born of the Demon god Grummsh, for which their warlike nature is often blamed. Half-Orcs generally find it easier to turn from this than full orcs, but some still succumb. Even when they turn away from this, Half-Orcs are still a martial people, revelling in and respecting physical strength above all else. They feel emotion powerfully - they rage when they face an enemy, and laugh loudly and heartily when celebrating with friends.

However, their history in Timor changed forever with the mass enslavement of goblins and half-orcs north of Korosk during The Invasion of Warchief Drebok. The warchief saw the half-orcs as weak abominations - but still stronger than the dwarves owing to their orcish blood. In this war, they were used as suicide squads and vanguards.
The martial prowess and strength of a half-orc named Urkol, along with the cunning ingenuity of one goblin named Gimbeltrex, led to a slave revolt which ultimately saved the dwarves and ended the tyranny of Warchief Drebok.
After this, King Volshek Korosk gifted the Half - Orcs and Goblins the island of Ordash. The Half-Orcs chose to continue living as Tribes, under one Tribal Union, led by Chief Urkol Gorthraz.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Half-Orcs skin is pigmented in a wide range, from grey, to blue, to deep green. They stand between 5 - 7 feet tall, and can weigh between 180 - 250 pounds.

Growth Rate & Stages

Half-Orcs mature slightly faster than humans, and reach adulthood around 14 years old. They age much faster, and rarely live much longer than 70-75 years.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

In battle, Half - Orcs can succumb to an almost supernatural rage where they relentlessly pursue their foes. This can be greatly intimidating to those who oppose them. They are great survivalists, and their endurance is legendary.
